Why Quail Eggs?

Quails are medium-sized birds that are native to Southern United states parts of Europe and Asia. Due to increased body temperature and an excellent immune system, quails are some of the most disease-resistant birds. In the wild it is unlikely for quail to die from disease, but rather from predator attack.

Compared to chicken eggs, quail eggs have an increased amount of lysozymes which are antimicrobial enzymes that help reduce the risk of salmonella and other pathogens.

Quail Hatching Eggs

One of the best ways to start with is quail is using hatching eggs. We try to make it convenient and cost effective, so our minimum order is ONLY 12 eggs. You will need an incubator for hatching your eggs.

Quail hatch a bit earlier than chickens do. If you order a larger number, we suggest adding a quail-sized egg turner to your incubator. And although newly hatched chicks do need a bit of attention and love, in general they are very hardy and adaptable birds. They are perfect for small scale urban production!

Our Quail Eggs are collected daily from healthy stock.

Quail Birds

Quails are one of the most economical and versatile birds to keep. They are great for everyone whether you are beginner or have experience of working with poultry. Reaching maturity within just 7-8 weeks after hatching, quails require less space to live and consume less feed than chickens do. In addition, they are great producers of beautifully speckled eggs. Males make excellent meat birds and are a lot easier to process comparing to chickens.

Quails are generally very quiet birds and are perfect for people living in neighborhoods. Hens tend to lay every single day! Being that they are gentle, non-aggressive birds they are perfect for families with kids!

We offer quail of different growth stages. Please refer to our information chart for more info.

** We are hatching quail chicks monthly or as demand requires. They are available for local pickup directly from our farm or near Jacksonville FL area. The quails are subject to availability. We try our best to keep the website updated when next hatch dates are. For any questions please contact us directly.
